Be patient
Everything comes to you at the right moment
I’ve been having a hard time lately.
I have tons of ideas, but nothing seems to be the right idea.
Do you recognize that?
I seem to be suffering from an awful lot of procrastination.
“Don’t be lazy, don’t procrastinate, DO! ACTION!”
that’s what I’m thinking.
And that’s what I do.
So that keeps me busy for a while.
And I discover it’s not what I want.
Do you have that too sometimes?
Sometimes people think that I have everything perfectly under control.
That I am some energy bomb and unstoppable.
Let me tell you a secret: that is certainly not always the case.
Like lately.
Very frustrating for someone who is as action and result oriented as I am.
However, there is this quote:
Don’t try to rush things that need time to grow.
So I learned to take a break now and then.
A pause, not to watch 10 episodes of Supernatural
(although that might happen, albeit not 10 episodes – guilty as charged :-)).
A break to pay attention to which ideas come my way and to really feel whether I want to move forward with them.
Instead of immediately implementing every idea, I take the time to feel.
It’s like an incubation process, and it takes time.
You can’t force it.
So, for the restless souls among us who find it hard to sit still.
Those who want action and quick results (anyone?)…
Allow yourself some time to “think” or “feel” what your next step will be.
I promise you it will be worth your while.
And never forget what Oscar Wilde said:
Everything is going to be fine in the end.
If it’s not fine it’s not the end.
How about you? Have you felt like this before? What are your suggestions?
